Amazon came first, the website second and the retail doors later — the first listing went up four months before the domain was registered, the reverse of the usual order.
- 2013 — Brand: A nutrition practice in Manhattan, before there is a product The founder’s own account: a private practice whose clients said capsule vitamins made them nauseous. The liquid multivitamin is the answer to that complaint, and she says she sold the first bottles off a bookshelf in the office.
- 7 Sep 2014 — Amazon: First Amazon listing — before the website The Liquid Morning Multivitamin that went up a week later is still among the five largest earners twelve years on.
- 31 Dec 2014 — Web: maryruthorganics.com registered Four months after the first ASIN. The first archived capture of the site is 22 June 2015.
- Oct 2018 — Brand: A YouTube channel, and $11M in sales The channel joined in October 2018. Forbes reports that year’s revenue at $11M, attributed to the company, on the way to $23M in 2019.
- 15 Aug 2019 — Amazon: Kids Multivitamin Gummies The move from liquids into gummies and into children’s vitamins. Today it sells 30,000+ a month — on a listing that carries 298 offers.
- 21 Jan 2021 — Brand: The TikTok account is created From TikTok’s own createTime, corroborated by the timestamp inside the user id. It now carries 624,900 followers and 1,691 videos — the brand’s largest owned channel.
- Aug 2021 — Brand: Butterfly Equity buys in A private-equity stake, in a year Forbes reports the company’s revenue at $135M.
- 27 Sep 2022 — Amazon: USDA Organic gummies, for kids Two of today’s fifteen largest listings went up this day, in a 2022 cohort of 113 new listings — the year the catalogue stops being a product line and becomes a shelf.
- Jul 2023 — Brand: B Corp certified, at a score of 81.6 Against a passing mark of 80 and a median of 50.9 — a third-party audit of how the company operates, which is a different thing from an audit of its numbers.
- 25 Aug 2023 — Amazon: Liquid Multivitamin + Hair Growth The listing that changes the catalogue. It is the single biggest earner today, and “mary ruth hair growth” is now the second-largest Google search they rank for, at 74,000 a month.
- 15 Aug 2024 — Brand: Butterfly sells the majority of its stake Per the law firm that ran the deal, Butterfly kept a board seat and King Street financed the buyer. No price was disclosed. The claim that Butterfly “nearly tripled” the company is the seller describing its own track record.
- 31 Dec 2024 — Amazon: 153 listings in a year, the catalogue’s biggest cohort More new ASINs in 2024 than in 2014 through 2021 combined.
- 31 Mar 2025 — Advertising: Paid search peaks, then stops Ubersuggest’s paid series runs from September 2024 and peaks in March 2025 at 19 keywords. From October 2025 it reads zero — while Similarweb calls paid search their largest channel in August 2026. The two do not agree.
- Oct 2025 — Brand: $420M of debt, and ~97% ownership A Capital One facility due 2030, which Forbes reports left the founder owning about 97% of the company — in the year EBITDA first topped $100M.
- 30 Nov 2025 — Amazon: $18.0M — the biggest month in the series 693,100 units. Unlike a gift business, December dips below November in every year of this series, and January recovers.
- 27 Aug 2026 — Brand: Forbes puts the company at ~$600M and ~$125M EBITDA An estimate, not a filing: this is a private company and none of it is audited. Set against it, the Amazon listings on this page are less than a third of the company — one estimate divided by another.
