White Mountain Puzzles is estimated to make $382,392 per month in revenue, on roughly $126,189 of monthly profit — a margin of about 33%. It operates in Amazon FBA, Jigsaw puzzles, Private Label, Shopify, Wholesale, Consumers, One-off product.
White Mountain Puzzles has made jigsaw puzzles in Jackson, New Hampshire, since 1978, and the founders’ families still own it. Amazon is one of three ways it sells them, and the only one with a public number behind it.
About five hundred puzzles are listed on Amazon. Most are 1,000 pieces at $19.99, but the range runs down through 500- and 300-piece puzzles to a set of six 100-piece minis — and by revenue the 1,000-piece puzzles are about 83% of the month and the 500-piece ones 14%. None of them is the business on its own, and that shape is the most unusual thing about it.
Themes organise the catalogue: nostalgia and vintage signs, trivia collages, state and regional puzzles, food, animals, beach scenes and famous places, much of it painted by a stable of named artists such as Charlie Girard, Lois Sutton and Steve Cameron. A calendar sits on top of the themes — Christmas, Halloween, autumn, winter, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and the Fourth of July each have their own collection on the company’s site — and puzzles are graded from beginner to advanced.
Buyers rate them highly. Eighteen of the twenty best-selling Amazon listings sit at 4.7 stars or above, the twenty together carry 3,492 reviews at a review-weighted 4.6, and the seller account holds 99% positive feedback over more than ten thousand ratings.
And the catalogue keeps moving. Their own site runs a New Puzzles section — 87 titles, 62 of them added in 2026 so far, the latest on 24 August — and a Coming Soon shelf already stocked with this year’s Christmas puzzles. Amazon shows the same cadence: 68 new listings in 2026.
