The company is a registry record with two directors, who have held the office since the day it was incorporated, and no person with significant control: it has filed the statement that it knows of no registrable person. It was incorporated under the name of its first app, renamed Poptacular within ten months and has filed accounts every year since 2018. The registered office is a Strand address and the business moved between London and Hampshire between 2018 and 2021. Nobody at the company has spoken to us, and every date here is read from a registry, an app store or a marketplace rather than told to us.
The filed accounts are six-page total-exemption full accounts and were not opened for a turnover figure. The Amazon seller account is registered to the London address, which makes this a British company selling into the US through FBA. The same seller exists on Canada with 7 ratings and does not appear on the UK or Germany, despite the brand’s own store saying it sells on Amazon UK.
Two further loose ends. The Amazon manufacturer string reads “Poptacular”, and a search on it returns 24 listings that are not in the storefront; they were not opened, so the catalogue here may be short by some. And a company page for the brand’s trademarks exists under the owner’s name, but it refused the fetch, so what is registered and for what is unknown. Poptacular also advertises “Prunella”, a service that automates Amazon ad bids, which suggests a team that knows the ad tools well and still buys little.
